On August 10th, 2024, the Harbin Roller Skating Marathon World Cup and the China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Harbin Station) will kick off in Harbin. As the fifth classic roller skating event held in Harbin, the 2024 Harbin Roller Skating Marathon World Cup is hosted by the Roller Skating Marathon World Inline Cup (WIC), the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Harbin Municipal People's Government, and supported by the Municipal Sports Bureau, the Harbin New Area Management Committee, and the Municipal Roller Skating Association. In 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023, more than 100,000 people participated in the competition for this event, and as a result, the event was rated as a "2023 China Sports Tourism Boutique Event" by the General Administration of Sport and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

This year, the 2024 Harbin Roller Skating Marathon World Cup, together with the 2024 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Harbin Station), "Erbin" Roller Skating Rows, Harbin Roller Skating Expo, and "Erbin" Roller Skating Carnival Night, will form a large-scale roller skating event cluster, providing a wonderful roller skating feast for the vast number of roller skating enthusiasts.

As one of the top roller skating marathons with the greatest international influence, the 2024 Roller Skating Marathon World Cup has set up 6 station globally in Portugal, France, China, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States. Among them, Harbin Station is the only Asian city to hold the event, so its importance is self-evident. The competition is expected to attract top roller skating professionals and enthusiasts from 13 countries, including China, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and South Korea, to sign up for the competition.

At the same time, the 2024 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Harbin Station) will be divided into 8 groups based on the length of the race distance, in order to attract flow and set up a platform to build a sports tourism integration event with "Erbin" characteristics through event activities, thus promoting the transformation of event "flow" to consumption "energy" and economic "increment". It will drive the development of related industry chains to fully play its basic and core role of the sports industry under the guidance of the event.
