On the morning of July 6th, with the support of the World Design Organization (WDO) and the guidance of the Propaganda Department of Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Propaganda Department of Harbin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the launching ceremony of Lilac Creative Design Competition was successfully held, which was organized by the Harbin Creative Design Center (HDC) and co-organized by the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Heilongjiang Province, the Department of Civil Affairs of Heilongjiang Province, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Heilongjiang Province, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province, the Communist Youth League Heilongjiang Provincial Committee, Heilongjiang Daily Newspaper Group, Heilongjiang Radio and Television Station, and the Harbin New Area Management Committee. At the venue, the Lilac Creative Design Competition was officially launched, with the release of the primary vision and competition guide for the Lilac Creative Design Award and a global collection announcement. Italian designer and theorist, founder of Fabio Verdelli Design Studio, Fabio Verdelli, Nicola Bariol (Italy), design director of Guangdong Zebra Industrial Design Co., Ltd., Nikola Sretovic (Serbia), former design director of Harman Kardon and founder of New Norm Studio, Nariman Bashiri (Türkiye), founder of BJORKA, former founder of DesignUM China Branch, Diego Meneses (Colombia), founder of Meneses Design, and other representatives of domestic and foreign design enterprises, relevant heads of relevant departments and units directly under the provincial government, propaganda departments of municipal (prefectural) party committee, representatives of cultural and tourism enterprises inside and outside the province, university representatives and so on jointly witnessed the glorious opening of the Lilac Design Creative Competition, thus marking a new milestone in Heilongjiang's creative design. The Lilac Creative Design Competition presents the Lilac Creative Design Award (LDA) in the form of a competition. Gathering global design innovation resources, adhering to the "people-oriented" concept, the LDA pays attention to the opportunities and challenges faced by society, economy, and environment through "creative design connecting the world". It aims to encourage and guide excellent enterprises, design institutions, and individuals at home and abroad, help to build Harbin as the "Design Capital", promote the development of Heilongjiang's creative design industry, enhance the design innovation ability of "Longjiang Manufacturing", lead industrial upgrading, and empower a better life. At present, as one of the most promising and dynamic industries in the world economy, the creative design industry is a booster for the development of the real economy. The Lilac Creative Design Award attracts more social attention and participation through competitions, creating an international and professional creative design exchange and communication activity. By attracting top designers and institutions from around the world to exchange and cooperate on stage, it will introduce more excellent domestic and foreign creative design resources for industrial transformation and upgrading, and help develop new quality productivity in Heilongjiang. At this creative design achievement release event, Zou Zhenmeng, founder and chief designer of Harbin ZOUDESIGN Co., Ltd., Chen Shibin, co-founder of Harbin Good Luck Brand Industrial Design Co., Ltd., and Ma Yeping, executive director of Heilongjiang Tourism Investment Culture, shared multiple creative design achievements, including IP cultural creation in Siberian Tiger Park, homologous ice cream with traditional Chinese medicine, and Heilongjiang gift case, which comprehensively showcased the fruitful achievements of our province in the field of creative design, demonstrated the deep integration of creative design with industries such as cultural tourism and green food in order to further enhance the international influence and competitiveness of Longjiang design, and promote the high-quality development of the creative design industry in our province. Located in the northernmost and easternmost part of China, with outstanding geographical advantages, rich historical and cultural heritage, abundant scientific and educational talents, Heilongjiang offers a vast application scenario and huge market space for the creative design industry. In Harbin that combines European style, ice and snow characteristics, fashion elements, and musical temperament, the development of the creative design industry has a profound cultural heritage and fertile soil. It is high time to come to Heilongjiang and Harbin to develop the creative design industry. The creative design industry is deeply integrated with ice and snow tourism, and the "popularity" effect of ice and snow tourism continues to extend to various fields of the economy and society. The Lilac Creative Design Award focuses on four categories: industrial creative design, digital creative design, visual creative design, and cultural creative design.
