In recent days, the Russian National Symphony Orchestra performed a concert with Alexander Rudin and Vadim Repin at the Harbin Grand Theater. The performance was led by Alexander Rudin, a Russian People's Artist, recipient of the Russian State Award, and winner of the Moscow City Government Award, with violinist Vadim Repin as the soloist. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, a top Russian orchestra presented a gift to Ice City, continuing to write a new chapter in the Sino-Russian friendship.

The Russian National Symphony Orchestra, which was established in 1990 staged this performance. As a world-renowned top symphony orchestra, it was named the "15th greatest symphony orchestra in the world" by the magazine titled Phonograph. The concert kicked off with Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, a famous orchestral work based on Shakespeare's play of the same name and one of Tchaikovsky's early representative works, which praised the beauty of love with grand structure and beautiful melody.

Subsequently, violinist Vadim Repin and the Russian National Symphony Orchestra jointly brought Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 in G minor, which was completed in 1935 and composed by Prokofiev after a period of touring performance. That night, Repin immersed the entire audience in the music with his abundant emotions and precise performance.

In the second half of the concert, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 in E minor was performed, which was also a peak in Tchaikovsky's music composition as part of the "Trilogy of Mourning". The artists of the Russian National Symphony Orchestra have portrayed through music the journey of their hearts, from completely obeying fate and doubting it, to determinedly overcoming tragic fate through struggle, in order to ultimately express the idea of affirming life.

Amidst the enthusiastic applause of the Harbin audience, the Russian National Symphony Orchestra performed Dvorak's Slavonic Dances and the Chinese work Liuyang River as an encore, bringing a successful conclusion to the entire performance.
